Our Story
BAS Constructions Ltd (trading as BAS Frames) was officially founded in 2016, but our journey with Steel Framing Systems (SFS) began well before that.
We first encountered SFS around 2010, when the method was still relatively unknown in the UK — and we recognised its potential early.
Over the years we have witnessed, and actively adapted to, the evolution of SFS — driven by stricter fire-safety regulations, enhanced fire testing and continuous innovation.
Today, SFS stands as one of the leading methods in modern construction, offering efficiency, durability and compliance with the highest safety standards.
BAS Frames is a family-owned business, with roots in construction tracing back to the 1980s. For nearly three generations, our family has been dedicated to craftsmanship and innovation.
In the early days, we ran a manufacturing facility specialising in wooden windows, doors and kitchens, exporting high-quality products to international markets.
In 2010 we were introduced to steel frame systems, and SFS quickly became the core of our business. Since then we have built our reputation on specialist SFS solutions, combining technical expertise with a hands-on, client-first approach.
Today BAS Frames provides a one-stop solution for steel frame-only structures, managing every stage — from design and manufacturing to installation. Boyan Stanilov
Co-Founder & Managing Director
With a strong background in construction and real estate, Boyan Stanilov brings extensive industry knowledge and hands-on experience to the steel frame sector. He holds a UCL RICS-accredited degree in Construction — an MSc in Construction Economics and Management — and NVQ Level 7, and has spent years across the built environment, from project management to real estate investment.
His expertise in Steel Framing Systems stems from a deep understanding of efficient, cost-effective building solutions that meet modern construction demands. Having collaborated with design firms, manufacturers and skilled subcontractors, Boyan has developed a streamlined approach that ensures seamless execution from concept to completion.
Driven by a commitment to quality and innovation, Boyan founded BAS Frames to provide a one-stop solution for steel frame-only structures. His vision is to bridge the gap between design and installation, offering clients a tailored service that prioritises precision, efficiency and long-term durability.
With a hands-on leadership style and a passion for strong client relationships, Boyan continues to push the boundaries of steel frame construction, delivering projects that stand the test of time.
Asen Stanilov
Founder & Managing DirectorAsen Stanilov is a highly experienced professional with over 35 years in the construction and manufacturing industry. His journey began in the family business, where he specialized in the production and export of wooden windows and doors. Over time, he transitioned into construction, and since 2010, he has been fully dedicated to steel frame systems.
His expertise lies in handling complex projects, particularly those involving pitched roofs and dormer windows. Drawing from his manufacturing background, Asen brings a structured and efficient approach to onsite operations, optimizing workflow and minimizing material waste. His attention to detail and commitment to perfection set the standard for all members of BAS Constructions, ensuring that every project meets the highest quality standards.

BAS Frames is SMAS Worksafe accredited and a CHAS Accredited Contractor — recognised UK health, safety and compliance certifications for construction subcontractors.
