Hathaway House: 14-Storey Mixed-Use SFS Infill
The Hathaway House project, completed in 2018 for HG Construction, was a complex and rewarding scheme involving an infill system package that included boarding, vent formation, and brick tie channels. The development featured a 14-storey mixed-use tower combining residential and commercial spaces, alongside a 4-storey office building, and was situated near Paddington Station.
Overcoming Paddington High Street Logistics
One of the most significant challenges of this project was its proximity to the high street, which meant there was no on-site storage area. To overcome this, all deliveries had to be meticulously coordinated and scheduled as just-in-time, with materials pre-booked for the crane and distributed directly to pre-installed canteen decks on each level. This required exceptional management and logistical expertise, which our experienced team provided, ensuring the project progressed smoothly and on schedule.
Stringent Fire Safety Requirements and Quality Standards
The building had stringent fire safety requirements, resulting in the extensive use of fire mastic throughout the structure. The team’s unwavering commitment to excellence was further driven by the visible reminder of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, emphasising the critical importance of delivering to the highest possible standards.
Through careful planning, technical expertise, and a dedication to quality, our team delivered a project that met and exceeded expectations, showcasing our ability to handle complex, high-profile developments with precision and professionalism.
